  • CALPRO- California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project

The California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO) is pleased to announce its newest self-directed online course, Learner Persistence. This course explores the latest research on factors that promote learner persistence. Through the course, participants examine implications for changing practice in the four areas of intake, orientation, instruction, and program activities. The course is based on CALPRO's facilitated online course, Enhancing Learner Persistence.

In the new self-directed course, individual educators work independently, without a facilitator or other participants, accessing the course whenever they like and moving at their own pace. Registration is open year-round to all adult educators currently working in programs funded by the California Department of Education, Adult Education Program.

The Learner Persistence course is a great companion to another CALPRO self-directed online course, Learner Goal Setting in Adult Education Programs. Both of these courses are intended for ABE, ASE, and ESL instructors and program administrators.
