3 and 4 Switch sides, passing in front of each other, stepping L, R, L

The Wheel

Change Partners

Couples change partners by moving forward and to the left, stepping L,R,L; R,L,R. At this point each person will be along side the persion who was in front of them.
5 and 6, 7 and 8
Continue moving forward, now to the right, stepping L,R,L; R,L,R. This will bring each person along side the person who will be their new partner.

NOTE: While changing partners each person weaves first left, then right. Every other person in line will be the next partner.

THE HUSTLE LINE DANCE


Sections of the Hustle Line Dance
The Hustle Line Dance has 4 main sections.
 
Section A: Dancing backward and forward. (16 beats)
Remember to step back with the right foot when you first start this dance. Interestingly enough, many other line dances (not all) begin with the right foot.

Section B: Slide Cross Side (16 beats)
Again start this section with your right foot. 1) Step side and slightly back, then 2) Cross your left foot in front of your right. 3) Step side with your right foot again. 4) Bring left foot together with right foot and tap (do not change weight). Then repeat the same patter moving to the left.  Repeat the whole thing to finish Section B.
 
Section C:  Hop forward and hop back. These are slow hops. (Hope forward on beat 1 and pause on beat 2). On beat 3, hopt backward and hold or pause on beat 4.
Beat 5: hop forward. Beat 6: hop backward.
Beat 7: click your heels together. Beat 8: click your heels together again.
 
Section D:(8 beats of music) Use your right foot throughout this section: tap twice in front and tap twice in back. Tap once in front and once in back. Tap side, right. On count 8, pivot to the left as you kick with your right foot. You are now facing a new wall and ready to repeat Section A.

SOUTH AFRICAN  Line Dance


Step right to side and bring it back
Step left to side and bring it back

Feet are together, turn the toes out, turn the heels out, heels are turned in, toes are turned in.
Arm movement is as follows; when toes are turned out arms are turned up as if in a "W"; when heels are turned out arms are turned down as if in a "M" position. Repeat when heels are turned in ("W") and when toes are turned in ("M").
Cue: Toes, heels, heels, toes; or out, out, in, in.

Bring the right knee up waist high and back to place.
Repeat knee up and back. (No pause in between). As you place
the right foot down, turn it to the right as you kick the left
foot to the right, turn one quarter to the right and walk back
3 steps, left, right, left to begin the dance again facing a new direction.
